I saw one today and personally it seems to have aged pretty horribly. That being said I didnt like it very much when it was new either.

I very much like the AMG versions that the States never got. A coworker has the C320 Sportcoupe with the V6, and it's much peppier than the more common C230.

Almost bought one back in the day. I got a '99.5 A4 1.8TQM instead.

The first one was fugly. The refresh killed the ugliness, but left us with a rather boring looking car. Am I right that these never made it to US shores?

You would be correct. America never got these, and that's probably for the best. They were on sale until like 2008 or something overseas right?

I absolutely love these things, the best one was the 2005 with the slightly updated exterior including the head lamps, rims, the tinted tail lamps and the new interior here in the states.
ignore the aftermarket rims, but this looks great IMO.

I'm with you, I really rather like it when luxury germans go for cut-off butts on their products. See BMW 3- compact.
